Parodia ibicuiensis (Prestlé) Anceschi & Magli is a new combination published in "A synopsis of the genus Parodia Spegazzini s.l. (Cactaceae)", Bradleya 36: 105 (2018).

Note:
In cactusinhabitat.org 2013, the A&M 763 and A&M 765, now identified with P. ibicuiensis, were incorrectly attributed to Parodia stockingeri (Prestlé) Hofacker & P. J. Braun.

Parodia ibicuiensis (Prestlé) Anceschi & Magli represents one of the external vicariants in the complex of the dominant Parodia ottonis (Lehmann) N. P. Taylor.
